Mesothelioma is a brutal form of cancer. Fortunately, it is very rare. The cancer is primarily associated with the inhalation of asbestos. This leads to the possible growth of mutant cells, known as cancer in the mesothelium. The mesothelium is a picture of two organic layers like substance that lines the abdomen and chest, including by supporting and organs such as the heart and lungs surrounding.

Perhaps the biggest difficulty for patients to deal with the prognosis. The mesothelioma usually occurs only very late in the growing process. Consequently, the survival rate at 5 years is less than 10 percent. Understandably, this can wreak havoc on a patient.

The first step is to support them to make sure they understand that a certain percentage of people who do not survive. You can find online stories of people who have done to inspire. The key is to develop a fighting spirit and be aggressive in treating the disease.

The second step is to look out for their own mental health. A person with mesothelioma will be difficult to deal with emotionally and practically. This will better support the person in your life suffering from cancer.
